Rumor Roundup (Nov. 8, 2018): McIntyre push, TLC change, injury updates, more!

WWE.com

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Quote-tweeting a report of theirs from May, WrestleVotes says a big Drew McIntyre push is starting now and WWE has “major plans for him in 2019”.
  • Perhaps in conjunction with that (and talk of heat on Braun Strowman), SAP Center has changed the advertisement for TLC and now has Braun facing Baron Corbin instead of McIntyre at the Dec. PPV.
  • Alexa Bliss being pulled from in-ring duty for a second straight PPV and how WWE is presenting her on Raw right now has triggered speculation she could be moved into an authority figure role after her latest injury.
  • Zelina Vega was kept off the European tour after taking a bad bump at Evolution, according to PW Insider. She may have suffered a concussion, but she was reportedly working out at the Performance Center recently without issue.
  • Tetsuya Naito told Tokyo Sport (translation via Chris Carlton) he received and turned down an offer from WWE in June.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you’d like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it. And check our weekly Rumor Look Back here to keep track of how often rumors turn out to be correct!
