Season four of Lucha Underground will finish with Part Two of the finale known as Ultima Lucha Cuatro. Four big bouts will be settled. A white dragon or a freaky-eyed Fenix? Are you going to bet on Mack or the Man of One Thousand Deaths? Will Johnny Superfist be able to sacrifice a monster? What will happen when a Moth enters the dark? Get ready for the action as it airs tonight at 8pm ET on El Rey Network.

If you missed last week’s show, catch up with the recap and reactions and a snazzy summary video from the Lucha Underground YouTube channel.

Let’s run down the card for Part Two.

Cero Miedo Match for the Lucha Underground Championship: Marty Martinez vs Pentagon DARK

Lucha Underground

The feud between Marty Martinez and Pentagon DARK has roots back to Aztec Warfare 4 during the season four premiere. Those two were the finalists in the contest. Pentagon prevailed then snapped the Moth’s wing.

Marty missed several weeks of action, but he returned stronger than ever. And, perhaps more demented than ever. Marty won the Gift of the Gods Championship and used a cash gift for Antonio Cueto to cash in his newly acquired title. With a little help from a spider-legged gal pal, Marty won the Lucha Underground Championship that same evening.

In an effort to rattle the dark skeleton ninja, Marty challenged Pentagon to his very own specialty, a Cero Miedo match. That means extreme hardcore violence. I believe the only previous Cero Miedo match was Pentagon against Vampiro during Ultima Lucha Uno.

Extracurriculars to keep an eye on are Reklusa, Mariposa, and Vampiro. Reklusa is a spider-woman associate of Marty. She will most likely weave a web and be squished before the bout’s conclusion. Mariposa had her arm broken by brotherly love, so any appearance could have ambiguous allegiance. There is swerve potential on that one. Last, there is Pentagon’s master, Vampiro. Vampiro helped Pentagon win the Lucha Underground Championship at Ultima Lucha Tres and celebrated in the ring. It turned out that Vampiro had a master himself, but that story has had zero coverage in season four. Although, it could pop up again tonight, just like Captain Vasquez last week.

Will Lucha Underground stick with the tried and true of Pentagon DARK? Fans won’t be upset about that. Or, will Lucha Underground turn the page to set up a new star heading into season five? Defeating Pentagon in a Cero Miedo match would leave no doubt that Marty is a legit threat to any luchador on the roster.

Prediction: Marty Martinez. Two wings and eight legs will prove to be too much for an easily distracted chubby. But, Pentagon does have teeth upon teeth. That could sway the match in his favor.

Lucha Underground

After the contest, I predict Pentagon will break both Marty’s arms, both Marty’s legs, and all of Marty’s fingers and toes as a memorable way to close the season in the ring.

One other thing. Let’s not forget about the current Gift of the Gods Champion, Jake Strong. After a strong performance in Seven to Survive, Strong will most likely have a strong itch to show how strong he is. Don’t be surprised if a strong match follows Cero Miedo. Strong!

Sacrifice to the Gods: Johnny Mundo vs The Monster Matanza Cueto

Rascally Ricky Mundo unleashed a monster to ruin Johnny Mundo’s wedding with Taya. Different members of Worldwide Underground vowed revenge, so Matanza sacrificed them. That leads us to tonight’s bout.

One small detail that needs to be mentioned. Aerostar handed over the god gauntlet to help Johnny in his quest. That should make the playing field as close to even as can be.

Prediction: Matanza. I do not believe Johnny Mundo will be fully juiced by the godly gauntlet in time. That said, I don’t think Johnny gets sacrificed. The super glove will save him somehow. Maybe all that power combined with the sacrifice surge will boost him up a level into becoming Johnny Universo.

Death Match: Mil Muertes vs Mack

This feud began when Mack won a battle royal to toss one competitor from the upcoming Gift of the Gods match. Mil Muertes got the boot. “I like to say that the Mack ain’t afraid of no man. But the truth is Mil Muertes scares the shit out of me. So, uh, so what I’m trying to say is sorry, Mil. You’re out.”

That caused Mil to play trick or treat with Mack in a Haunted House match, which placed Mack out of action for a bit. When Mack did return, a match of death was scheduled for Ultima Lucha Cuatro.

Prediction: Mil Muertes. Always bet on Mack, except in a match of death against a man of one thousand deaths. I don’t see any reason to believe Mack has a chance at victory. The fight should still be awesome though. If we aren’t getting another round of Mack vs Cage, then Mack vs Mil is the closest substitute.

2 Out of 3 Falls: El Dragon Azteca Jr. vs Fenix

Lucha Underground

After losing in a three-way Grave Consequences match, Fenix’s soul was sucked by Catrina in an effort to become human again. Upon Catrina falling off a roof to her death, Aerostar used his time-skipping skills and Catrina’s black rock to revive Fenix. The only problem was that Fenix’s soul was blemished, which resulted in conjunctivitis.

Unbeknownst to the Super Friends and super girlfriend, Fenix had turned into an evil goon. Imagine Festus mixed with a rabid canine.

El Dragon Azteca Jr. stuck his nose in to protect Melissa Santos one too many times. Fenix kicked Azteca’s ass before a Gift of the Gods defense, and Azteca lost the belt to Marty Martinez despite a valiant effort.

A best-of-three falls is supposed to settle this dispute. To be honest, I don’t see how a match helps anything. Fenix doesn’t seem to be capable of complex thoughts. It appears as if he has been reacting on instinct when inside the ring. Despite that, the match itself should be a dandy.

Prediction: El Dragon Azteca Jr. I’m guessing Melissa Santos will finally break through to Fenix, and Azteca will win a third fall that he was on the verge of losing.

With only four fights and maybe a fifth bout tonight, that should hopefully leave plenty of time for backstage scenes and a super duper closing extravaganza of awesomeness. As best as I can tell, three or four scenes from the season four trailer have yet to be shown on screen. Expect those segments tonight as the war between the gods and the seven ancient Aztec tribes carries on ever so slowly.

Enjoy the show tonight at 8pm ET on El Rey Network. Who are you predicting for victory? How many luchadores will end up on a stretcher or worse? Which match of the four will steal Part Two?
