Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Heading into Raw yesterday, PW Insider said the Raw men’s Survivor Series team would consist of Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley & Kurt Angle with Baron Corbin as captain.
  • Their sources have SmackDown’s side as Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe, Rey Mysterio, The Miz & Randy Orton, with Shane McMahon in their corner.
  • Shane McMahon’s heel turn is part of a long-term plan on SmackDown. At least, that’s what Wrestling Observer Live’s Bryan Alvarez was “basically told”.
  • There’s also speculation the World Cup final angle at Crown Jewel was the start of a face turn for Miz.
  • According to Ringside News, Saudi fans “felt betrayed” by John Cena’s decision to pull out of Crown Jewel.
