A world-first, as Chris Dickinson lead his Beyond squad to victory and defeated Chikara team captain Dasher Hatfield in singles combat to close the cibernetico out, the first time a non-Chikara wrestler has ever stood tall in that trademark match! And oh what a match it was, featuring everything from Ryan Galeone one-arm press slamming Boomer to the floor to Nick Gage cutting the Boar’s tail off!
Plus Huckabee and Razerhawk had a hell of a match, Ophidian earned his third point towards a shot at the Grand Championship, and Volgar’s raw strength came to bear when he at one point shouldered ALL THREE of the Colony and took them for a spin.

Folks, if you ever take just one match recommendation from me, let it be this-- Starr/Cassidy is absolutely incredible. Match of the Year quality. Like someone wondered “what if Rocky was a snuff film and also a pro wrestling match”, just a pure violent tornado of excellence as Orange never said die nor abandoned his, uh... unique wrestling style. Fan-tastic stuff. Plus, y’know, the tag tournament was pretty cool, as were both of Stoke’s matches and the ending of night one, an absolutely trippy experience as Hallowicked clawed at Hot Sauce’s eyes to challenge him to an eventual title match.
Check the VODs out on Powerbomb.tv, folks.
Progress Chapter 79: One Big Neck With Sausage Hands. (Nov. 26)
- Jordan Devlin over Mark Andrews

- Anti-Fun Police (Chief Deputy Dunne & Los Federales Santos, Jr.) over Team Tremendous (Bill Carr & Dan Barry)
- Eddie Dennis over Mark Haskins
- Travis Banks over David Starr
The big news coming out of this one is the formation of a brand-spanking new heel stable in the Progress tradition, as, while Jimmy Havoc beat Drew Parker down before the bell in their scheduled match that never actually got started until Spike Trivet made the save. Parker and Trivet were soon enough joined by Chuck Mambo (I know, I’m shocked also) and William Eaver, and bingo, new faction. All four men also beat Dennis and Haskins down after their match, to boot.
Check it out when it hits Demand Progress, folks.
As always...
Remember folks, no matter what type of wrestling you like, no matter how down you feel about the state of WWE, Impact, ROH, or any other “big-time” pro wrestling, there’s something out there for you. There’s a pro wrestling product that can hit you in the right spot and make you love wrestling like you thought you’d never be able to love it again. It’s there, I promise. You just gotta reach out and find it, and that, my friends, is what the Sermon on the Mat is all about.
