Evolve Wrestling announced earlier today that LAX will be appearing at their December New York shows - Evolve 117 in Woodside on Saturday the 15th, and Evolve 118 in Deer Park on Sunday the 16th.
That’s notable for several reasons:
- Santana & Ortiz are Impact tag champs
- Evolve is partnered with WWE
- That partnership has recently grown to where NXT talents now appear on pay-per-view (PPV) for Evolve
- Two of those NXT talents, Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins of Street Profits, are Evolve’s reigning tag champs

We won’t get match announcements for the cards (which, in addition to Street Profits, will also feature NXT’s Kassius Ohno & Fabian Aichner, who also happens to be the Evolve champ) until next week. But in announcing LAX’s booking, they’re already teasing a “collision course” between the Impact champs and WWE Network regulars Dawkins & Ford.
That this announcement isn’t SHOCKING is all you need to know about pro wrestling in 2018.
