Hello Nightly!!!

IS THIS THE END OF THE BEGINNING?

Tonightly, we officially end the Ozzy/Sabbath series as we take a look at Black Sabbath’s final album, 13. This album had been in the making for many years, as this was supposed to happen as far back as 2001, but due to Ozzy’s solo career, it wound up never happening. But the album is a reunion of the original lineup for the most part. The only member not to return is Bill Ward, due to contractual disputes. Brad Wilk from Rage Against The Machine plays drums on this album, and he does a great job. The whole album feels like a throwback to Sabbath’s first two albums. It did feel like they went back to the self titled debut and Paranoid and used those two albums as a blueprint for 13. It’s classic Sabbath. Some great doom metal on this album.

Overall, this is a great return to form for Sabbath, and a great way for Sabbath to go out.

On to the Nightly.
