Check it out, as always, free for nothin’ on Marca Claro, folks, and the VOD will go up on CMLL’s YouTube channel (where they also stream shows every Monday and Tuesday free of charge) after the fact for those of you who can’t watch live.

Freelance are back in Chicago, Illinois and it’s time. IT’S TIME! IT’S HALLOWEEN BATTLE ROYAL TIME!

No joke, this is one of my most anticipated matches of the year, folks, because it’s a royal rumble full of indie dudes dressed up as other wrestlers. You never know who’s gonna show up! Plus the rest of the card is pretty cool, with obvious highlights including a scramble full of folks from WildKat Sports, Ashley Vox debuting against Kylie Rae, and that dream tag main event.

Get your tickets here or check it out live on Powerbomb.tv, folks.

Not only have they taken over, but they’ve managed to get the original takeover kings in town for a hype trios main event, but that’s not all that’s on offer. It’s an unsanctioned card, so no title matches, but Glory Pro’s champs will be in action, with Curt Stallion clashing with Mr. Fun Size Marko Stunt in a Texas Bullrope match and the Riegel Twins looking to impress against United Glory champs Reed & Wolf!

  7. Jeff Cobb vs. WALTER (c) (PWG World Championship)

PWG are back in Los Angeles and uh-oh, a wrestler’s name is in the title of the event. That usually means a farewell... but in this case I think Super Dragon’s just paying tribute to the late, great Burt Reynolds because Bandido is currently booked for some events WrestleMania weekend. Anything can change, of course, but for now I don’t think he’s going anywhere. And why should he, with shows like this? The match I’m going to go out of my way to highlight is Hechicero/Sabre-- Hechicero is one of the best grapplers in all of Mexico, ZSJ’s skill is well-known, and together they’re going to make some technical wrestling magic.

Tickets, amazingly, are still available as I write this (right here), but if you miss out, you can always preorder the DVD, folks.

It’s time for DDT’s biggest show of the year! Cards on the table, folks, I don’t follow DDT very closely at all, so I can’t give a huge amount of exposition here, but keep an eye on Dramatic DDT, who should have a preview up by the weekend. If you’re looking to dip your toes into DDT, this is as good as spot as any, like tuning into New Japan for Wrestle Kingdom or WWE for WrestleMania.

You can do so on DDT Universe.

NWA 70th Anniversary Show (Oct. 21, 7:05PM Eastern)

  1. Jay Bradley vs. Mike Parrow vs. Ricky Starks vs. Willie Mack (NWA National Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semifinal)

  7. ??? vs. ??? (NWA National Heavyweight Championship Tournament Finals)
  8. Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Nick “Magnus” Aldis (NWA World Heavyweight Championship 2/3 Falls Match)

Two more titles return to the fold, with the recognition of Jazz’s women’s title as well as the resurrection of the NWA National Heavyweight Championship, plus the rematch between Cody and Magnus and a slate of undercard matches to boot! Most exciting of those, for me, is Barrett Brown vs. Laredo Kid, two great high flyers that should go great together and make a lot of fans.

Results

ACH continues on the warpath against WRSTLING title or no title, Trevor Lee creeps ever closer to a year as Heritage Champion, and AAW Heavyweight Champion and his regular partner in crime Jimmy Jacobs prevailed over the reunited Uncle John’s Friends, but best of all, this bad boy was streamed live on Twitch!

Check out the replay while it’s still up, or just wait for it to hit Smart Mark Video and Highspots, folks.

Chikara Piano Lessons Can Be Murder (Oct. 13)

  1. Cornelius Crummels & Sonny Defarge over Boomer & Dasher Hatfield
  2. Ophidian over Frightmare
  3. Team FIST (Icarus & Tony Deppen) over Danjerhawk & Penelope Ford

  5. Juan Francisco de Coronado over Cam Carter

  7. The Closers (Rick Roland & Sloan Caprice) (c) over Beast Warriors (Oleg the Usurper & Proletariat Boar of Moldova) to retain the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas

Chikara gave us a preview of La Loteria Letal as Danjerhawk came up short with his randomly selected tag partner, the Bad Girl herself, Penelope Ford (in a match that earned Team FIST a third point, however as each of their victories have come with different combinations, it’ll take some convincing to get Director of Fun Bryce Remsburg to let them cash in), the Closers retained to be the team the randomly selected team that wins said lethal lottery will challenge against, the Proteus Wheel’s trios match went to hell when the locker room opened up and joined the fray, and both Coronado and Ophidian begin their roads to title shots with strong victories.

Check it out on Chikaratopia, folks.

CZW Better Than Our Best (Oct. 13)

  8. Rickey Shane Page over Mance Warner to become #1 contender to the CZW World Heavyweight Championship

The main event for Cage of Death is set, folks-- the contracts are signed, it’s MJF vs. RSP inside of Cage of Death in the ECW Arena! Plus we’ve got a new CZW Wired Champion, there are a lot of no contests afoot, with FEAR striking and only Alex Reynolds standing tall after Pratt/Gacy, and the REP showing up to ruin YDNB’s night and claim that the only people getting to the BLK OUT are them.

An additional note, David Starr took his title shot first thing so he could hustle out the doors and make his flight to go to RevPro to wrestle KUSHIDA... only to find that not only was his flight canceled, but the ENTIRE AIRLINE went out of business without bothering to notify him. So hey, the man’s running a merch sale to recoup some of his lost earnings, why not check it out?

And as for the show, you can, of course, check it out on CZW Studios.

A big weekend for OTT indeed! New Japan talent won the day by and large, although WALTER was able to swat Will Ospreay aside and retain his title, and Chaos mainstay Rocky Romero fell short in his attempt to claim the Gender Neutral Championship. Plus a new women’s champion, Jimmy Havoc of all people hooking up with the Angel Cruzers, and a big win for Jordynne Grace.

See the CZW blurb above if you’re confused as to the lack of the Product on this one, folks, but aside from that it seems to have been a hell of a time. Perhaps nothing more exciting than Chris Ridgeway getting an absolutely huge win over Will Ospreay-- if you don’t know him yet, I bet you’re gonna know Chris real soon, because he’s great and this is a fantastic move by RevPro. Plus Ishii regained his crown, Bread Club reigns supreme, and ZSJ got one over on former NEVER Champ Goto.

Check it out on RPW On Demand, folks.
