Week nineteen of Lucha Underground’s fourth season will feature a strong savage, former friends fighting, and the Gift of the Gods back again. Get ready for the action as it airs tonight at 8pm ET on El Rey Network.

If you missed last week’s show, catch up with the recap and reactions and a snazzy summary video from the Lucha Underground YouTube channel.

Here are three things I’ve got my eye on for this episode.

1. Savagery

“Savagery,” is the title of tonight’s episode. It can only mean one thing. “The Savage” Jake Strong. Strong, strong, strong!

In a mildly mind-blowing photo, Strong appears to be strong-arming Johnny Mundo. That is a fairly high-profile match for a random bout. It will be intriguing to see how it was put together. Is Strong tenderizing Mundo ahead of Ultima Lucha Cuatro in return for a favor from Antonio Cueto?

2. Former partners collide

Given the history in Lucha Underground, that subtitle probably doesn’t help you at all. I’ll be more blunt. Killshot vs Mack.

Killshot and Mack both entered the Temple together as partners of Big Ryck. They ended up going their separate ways and reunited as an unlikely trio at Ultima Lucha Tres. After winning Trios gold alongside Dante Fox, things turned sour when Son of Havoc replaced an absent Fox by luck of the draw. Killshot was never down with that and cost the group their championships. That crossed the line with Mack. Mack requested a showdown with Killshot, but he had some trick or treating to do first. Now, it looks like the two will engage.

I have no idea who is going to win. Both luchadores need momentum heading into Ultima Lucha Cuatro. Mack with a Death Match against Mil Muertes and Killshot with a mask vs mask duel against Son of Havoc. When in doubt, “Always bet on Mack.”

3. Gift of the Gods

An episode blurb teaser claims that the Gift of the Gods is back. Being that there are only two episodes (tonight and next week) left until Ultima Lucha Cuatro, I expect every match to be for an Aztec Medallion.

I would not be surprised if Jake Strong ends up in possession of that unique opportunity. His only direction for the finale would be a rematch with Aerostar. That doesn’t seem likely since Aerostar couldn’t win with the help of Drago nor with nunchucks. Let’s hope we get a surprise of some sort, so Strong won’t look so strong a favorite. That leads me into wondering which man... or machine could show up. Cage would be a strong foe for Strong. I would be excited for that.

Enjoy the show tonight at 8pm ET on El Rey Network. Who are you picking to win the announced bouts? How about the next winner of the Gift of the Gods?

While you wait until then, enjoy one of Marty the Moth’s Attacktivities.

I found everything except the spider. If you find it, let me know in the comments. Thanks. Although, it would be a Marty move not to have a spider at all and drive everyone crazy. He is a torturous fellow. Imagine how evil it would be to give Sexy Star a book of incomplete puzzles.

El Rey is available via the cable and satellite providers list on their webpage here. If one of those is your hook-up and you can’t find the channel on your box, reach out to them and ask for it. If you don’t see your provider listed or you’ve cut the cord, you can order the episodes on iTunes here and on Amazon here. Seasons one and two are available on Netflix here.
