Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • There’s been speculation, per the Observer, that WWE could have Daniel Bryan enter and win the Royal Rumble without having to get too physical. Don’t expect it, though, as he still hasn’t been cleared, but the talk is out there.
  • There’s also plenty of speculation that Stephanie McMahon is on commentary and it will lead to a swerve where she joins the match a la the announce team in the 2012 Royal Rumble.
  • According to the Observer, although the decision to name a 205 Live General Manager happened this past week those within WWE have talked about it for months.
  • They also note that Summer Rae was talked about for the spot but was told she was too tall.
  • In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s noted that Impact Wrestling is planning to focus on 6-8 top guys, like Brian Cage, Austin Aries, and Matt Sydal, among others.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
