Rumor Roundup (Jan. 25, 2018): WWE sale, Roman Reigns’ status, Hall of Fame, Broken Matt, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • News of a possible sale of WWE to Fox remains a hot topic, with Variety reporting on it, Sports Illustrated saying the company is being careful to not add expenses and Triple H reiterating that Vince McMahon will listen to offers on his pre-TakeOver conference call.
  • WWE considers the steroids accusations against Roman Reigns to be a non-issue, and plans remain in place for him to win the Universal title from Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
  • Four names, including Goldberg, are said to be locked in for the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class, per PW Insider.
  • With Impact changing their IP policy and Matt Hardy’s trademark on “Broken” about to go through, there’s speculation he could begin using that instead of “Woken” in WWE.
  • On Monday’s Raw, PW Insider says Vince was in charge with Adam Pearce and Michael Hayes produced matches at Barclays while Triple H ran the show at Manhattan Center with Mike Rotunda as the lead agent.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
