Rumor Roundup (Sept. 9, 2017): Paul Heyman, Samoa Joe return, Raw women’s title, more!

Paul Heyman

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • An interesting bit from the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter is that Paul Heyman is controversial because there are some in management and on the creative team within WWE who don't like that he changes segments with Brock Lesnar so often.
  • Samoa Joe is expected to return late in October.
  • The idea of booking the Fatal 4-Way for the Raw women's championship match at No Mercy is apparently to have Emma take the loss so Sasha Banks and Nia Jax can be protected.
  • Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax is still the longer term plan.
  • All talk of Rey Mysterio going to GFW appear to be dead, per the Observer.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
