Less than 24 hours after Sexy Star released a long statement denying any wrongdoing in the incident at Triplemanía XXV which reportedly left Global Force Wrestling (GFW) star Rosemary with a strained biceps and triceps, AAA has stripped Star of their women’s title, the Reina de Reinas championship.

This is the second time the promotion has vacated the title this year. The first came under similarly controversial circumstances, but was done to get the belt off of Taya Valkyrie and onto Sexy Star shortly after she returned to AAA - an incident which some reports say tied into the shoot armbar Rosemary says Star used to injure her at the Aug. 26 pay-per-view (PPV) in Mexico City.
Regardless, AAA is looking to move past the controversy by announcing this move and a five woman match to crown the next champ:

Lady Shani is a Taya protege, and was said to have been involved in some stiff exchanges with Sexy Star in the Triplemanía match before the finish with Rosemary. Making this move so quickly after Star’s latest statement, and including Shani, doesn’t give the appearance AAA is backing Sexy Star’s version of events.
GFW is covering Triplemanía on this week’s edition of Impact Wrestling, although reports say they won’t turn this into an angle.
Is this the end of the story? There’s still a good deal of interest in it, so probably not.
A better question might be... is this the end of Sexy Star’s career?
