Rumor Roundup (Sept. 5, 2017): Major Cena role, Four Horsewomen plans, Big Show’s future, title changes, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • John Cena is said to be a frontrunner for the role of the superhero Shazam in the planned DC Comics movie. The Rock has long been attached to the franchise as one of Shazam’s supporting cast, the villain/anti-hero Black Adam.
  • Expect Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and (when healthy) Bayley to be kept away from their respective brand’s title scenes while their program with The MMA Four Horsewomen plays out.
  • Big Show may be out for a minor hip operation soon, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet’s James McKenna’s sources, which would explain Raw’s finish this week.
  • According to Observer Radio, Vince McMahon called for the quick title changes which occurred around SummerSlam to create buzz for the product.
  • Finally, a rumor-killer... talk of CFO$ leaving WWE got loud enough that the songwriting duo took to Twitter to shoot it down.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
