New Japan Pro Wrestling Destruction in Kobe results: Beretta vs. Yujiro, Omega vs. Robinson, and more

New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) are back again and we’re into the next cycle of shows with Destruction in Hiroshima. The Destruction tour is headlined by three major shows, with Fukushima (Sept. 10) and Hiroshima (Sept. 16) already past, and you can check out match recommendations here for Fukushima and here for Hiroshima if you missed them. Each show will be broadcast worldwide on New Japan's streaming service, NJPW World.

Today’s action takes place in Hyogo's Kobe World Hall, kicking off at a ripe 3AM Eastern / 12AM Pacific, and features the IWGP United States and IWGP Tag Team Championships on the line, as well as Beretta’s first singles match as a heavyweight and what will surely be a top-shelf Los Ingobernables de Japon vs. Chaos tag featuring Will Ospreay doing cat things.

Hirai Kawato & Hiroyoshi Tenzan over Monster Rage (Katsuya Kitamura & Tomoyuki Oka) by submission with the Anaconda Vise from Tenzan on Oka.

Funky Future (Ricochet & Ryusuke Taguchi), Jushin Liger, Tiger Mask IV, & Togi Makabe over Suzuki-gun (El Desperado, Taichi, TAKA Michinoku, Takashi Iizuka, & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) by pinfall with a King Kong Knee Drop from Makabe on Michinoku.

Chaos (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) over Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens) by pinfall with Karma from Tacos on Owens.

Beretta over Yujiro Takahashi by pinfall with the Dudebuster.

Chaos (Rocky Romero, Tomohiro Ishii, & Toru Yano) over Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, SANADA, & Tetsuya Naito) by pinfall with a brainbuster from Ishii on BUSHI.

Post-match, Ishii takes it to Naito further, beating him pillar to post and leaving him stumbling.

Kenny Omega (c) over Juice Robinson by pinfall with an AVALANCHE ONE WINGED ANGEL to retain the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship.
