We warned you earlier that the Daniel Bryan comeback talk is coming at us fast and furious, even though it’s believed the “retired” Grand Slam champion is under contract to WWE until the middle of next year, and Vince McMahon hasn’t shown any signs of signing off on The Beard lacing up the boots again for his fed.
Well, we got another tease on Friday night, and it was from a couple familiar sources.
Shortly after Cody Rhodes won the Ring of Honor (ROH) World title, Bryan started tweeting/trolling about a possible match. Rhodes said he didn’t think DB was serious, but he was down for a match.
In the build-up to their Sept. 22 Death Before Dishonor XV pay-per-view (PPV), ROH’s COO Joe Koff mentioned the company would welcome Bryan back with open arms if he was interested... something The Beard found “interesting”.
Then, in the main event of that PPV between Cody and Minoru Suzuki, this...
Uh, @WWEDanielBryan... I think @CodyRhodes has a message for you. #JustSayYes

To further the intrigue, ROH’s account sent out a shorter version of the GIF which makes it 100% clear what Cody’s up to:

Now, we sit back and await Bryan’s response. Cause you know it’s coming...
