Bobby Heenan has died. He was 73.
To those of you who only know him as "an old-time manager", oh you don't know him. You need to see -- or, well, hear -- his mic work. The man got people over by proxy; he was, simply put, the best manager ever. He was Paul Heyman but more awesome.
But... those of you who remember him know that his managerial work was second only to his other talent: announcing. Specifically, annoying Gorilla Monsoon.
So, in this thread, I want all of you to imagine what the conversation would be as Gorilla awaits Heenan at the pearly gates -- which Heenan fully expects will happen (even in 1999, he declared the gates to be the Gorilla Position). I've seen a bunch of them in other forums that are really good, and I'll include my own contribution in the comments.
RIP Heenan. We love you, even if you were a total weasel.
