Sounds like Alberto El Patron is coming back to GFW

It appears Alberto El Patron was accurately representing his status.

Suspended by Global Force Wrestling (GFW) and stripped of the promotion’s title belts following he and his fiancee Paige’s involvement in a July incident at Orlando International Airport which led to a police investigation, El Patron told SI.com just last week that he was in talks with the company to return.

According to PWInsider, on a conference call today (Sept. 12) GFW creative team members Scott D'Amore, Sonjay Dutt and John Gaburick confirmed as much. Alberto is “factored in” to the plans for their October pay-per-view (PPV) Bound for Glory and beyond. That will likely include the Impact television tapings planned to take place in Orlando before and after the PPV.

Rumors pointed to the exit of Jeff Jarrett from the team as a sign El Patron would not be back, but it doesn’t look like that’s the case. Jarrett’s “indefinite leave of absence” doesn’t appear to be resulting in many changes, as today’s call also revealed Dutch Mantell is still in the fold, and Jim Cornette already revealed he’d be working BFG and at least some of the TVs around it.

The moderator of the call issued a “no comment” on Double-J at the call’s outset, asking reporters to not inquire any further at this time.

Looking forward to Alberto’s return?
