Rumor Roundup (Sept. 12, 2017): Reigns/Cena, WWE India, Asuka plans, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • The winner of No Mercy’s John Cena/Roman Reigns match isn’t decided yet, but either way, Reigns will be protected and eventually go over Cena sometime between now and WrestleMania 34.
  • The Raw roster is headed to New Dehli, India for a pair of shows on Dec. 7 - 8, according to PWInsider. No word yet if SmackDown’s Jinder Mahal and The Singhs will accompany Team Red, but speculation is out there Mahal will remain WWE champ until the trip.
  • Asuka’s Raw debut is expected for mid-October, with her first match likely at TLC.
  • Tribute to the Troops is expected to be filmed along with the Dec. 5 SmackDown in San Diego this year.
  • Rey Mysterio is reportedly working through an ankle injury, per Wrestling Observer.
