Rumors for the Day:

• Another version of the Karen Jarrett/Braun Strowman story has emerged, this one from a wrestling-connected restaurant on Twitter (so take that into consideration in addition to the usual disclaimers), alleging that it was all on Jarrett for being intoxicated and the version Wrestling Observer had was leaked by her husband Jeff to cover for her and focus attention on Strowman.
• Paul Heyman is lobbying for WWE to put the Universal title on Samoa Joe at SummerSlam, says SI.com.
• Speaking of that show, the card should end up with at least 13 matches on it.
• One of those will feature the Hardys and The Revival with a shot at the winner of Ambrose/Rollins vs. Cesaro/Sheamus on the line.
• Jim Ross blogged that he’s heard that Jon Jones is “interested in a WWE payday some day in the future”.
