The second half of the third season of El Rey Network’s grindhouse pro wrestling mash-up Lucha Undergound rolls on tonight (June 28).

Catch-up on last week’s show with our recap & review here, and get a rundown of our favorite things about the episode in the Tope Ten here.

Even as we head into the final matches of round one, you might also want to check in with our Cueto Cup breakdown (if just to see where Manolo and my picks were off), as Dario’s latest scheme remains the focus of most of the action in The Temple right now.

Here’s what the network tells us is coming this week:

  • Dante Fox flashbacks to being a POW
  • The first round of The Cueto Cup winds down
  • Rey Mysterio and Johnny Mundo continue their training

Round one wraps up with some interesting match-ups. Obviously, as you can tell by the video above, Dante Fox is getting a bit of the spotlight for his bout with El Dragon Azteca, Jr., and to follow-up on the role he played in Killshot’s loss last week. Son of Havoc’s showdown with the recently revealed mystery entrant, Son of Madness promises to be important. And we’ll get Sexy Star vs. Worldwide Underground’s PJ Black and some clue as to what’s going on with Prince Puma when he faces Ricky Mandel.

Plus, there’s bound to be fallout from Jeremiah Crane’s shocking assault of Mil Muertes, right!?!?

The battle for the Cup continues at 8PM Eastern tonight, True Believers!

El Rey is available via the cable and satellite providers list on their webpage here. If one of those is your hook-up and you can't find the channel on your box, reach out to them and ask for it. If you don't see your provider listed or you've cut the cord, you can find El Rey on the streaming subscription services Sling (here) and (here). Or you can order the episodes on iTunes here. Seasons one and two are available on Netflix here.

NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcast, but many Cagesiders don't partake. If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.
