Friends, wrestling fans, Cagesiders.
It is with a heavy heart that I announce to you that at today's New Japan Pro Wrestling show, Hiromu Takahashi's beloved stuffed emotional support cat Daryl (seen above in better times) was brutally destroyed by Bad Luck Fale in a tag team match pitting the Underboss and his Bullet Club allies Chase Owens and Yujiro Takahashi against the Los Ingobernables de Japon team of BUSHI, Hiromu, and Tetsuya Naito.
I'll embed the footage here, but fair warning, it's not for those of you with weak constitutions.

Fale is unrepentant, claiming Daryl was simply "collateral damage" and an example of what he's going to do to Tetsuya Naito tomorrow in their tournament match, and he posted a seemingly touching tribute video that was edited to cut dramatically to the footage of the horrible deed midway.
Fortunately, we have the original, unedited tribute video that remembers Daryl as he should be remembered-- one intact stuffed cat.
All joy and goodness has been ripped from the world. We can only hope @KennyOmegamanX has disciplinary action for @TOKSFALE. #RIPDARYL #G127 pic.twitter.com/KYCtK0sZ5n

Hiromu is, understandably, beside himself, and ended up not partaking in the traditional Los Ingobernables post-match fist bump, cradling Daryl's mortal remains and, presumably, taking him to his final resting place, wherever that may be.
There you have it folks
We said goodbye to the greatest stuffed emotional support cat our sport has ever known today, taken far too soon at the cruel hands of Bad Luck Fale.
Rest in peace, Daryl.
