Rumor Roundup (July 21, 2017): Angle/Jordan, WWE UK show, Mae Young Classic signings, more!

WWE.com

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Jason Jordan found out about his role in the Kurt Angle paternity story last week, according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Prior to that he was expecting a new American Alpha push to start soon.
  • The Observer also says Jordan was chosen over his tag partner Chad Gable at least in part as a rib on Angle for his history of dating black women.
  • WWE United Kingdom champion Pete Dunne is taking bookings for the Fall. Combined with no recent mentions of taping, that probably means plans for a Network UK show have been pushed further back.
  • An appearance by Cris Cyborg in relation to her Twitter beef with Becky Lynch could be how UFC finally pays WWE back for letting Brock Lesnar work UFC 200 last Summer.
  • MMA fighter (and Horsewoman) and Mae Young Classic entrant Shayna Bazler has filed for a trademark on her “Queen of Spades”nickname, per PWInsider. That’s especially noteworthy as most feel WWE will try to sign her to a long-term deal coming out of the tournament.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
