The second half of the third season of El Rey Network’s grindhouse pro wrestling mash-up Lucha Undergound continues tonight (June 7).

Catch-up on last week’s mid-season premiere with our recap & review here, and get a rundown of our favorite things about the episode in the Tope Ten here.

What can we expect in “Sudden Death”, the 21st episode of the season? Well, here’s what the network says:

  • The Lucha Underground Championship is defended as all night long continues
  • Dario makes an announcement
  • The Reptile Tribe
  • Prince Puma vs. Mil Muertes in a Boyle Heights Street Fight

The battle between The Mack & Johnny Mundo for the title started last week, and El Jefe is always making announcements (not that they’re dull or anything, but they do keep coming). Plenty of intrigue with the next two, though!

As you can see in the header video, Kobra Moon is getting serious about getting and keeping Drago back with his tribe - regardless of what a certain spaceman and his beer-swilling resurrected bird-man buddy think.

We’re also getting the latest battle in the series-long war between Puma and Muertes... now with even more at stake because Vampiro’s mentorship of the first LU champ means this is now a front in the struggle between Vamp and Catrina!

It’s a lot to take in, but plan on trying at 8PM Eastern tonight, True Believers!

El Rey is available via the cable and satellite providers list on their webpage here. If one of those is your hook-up and you can't find the channel on your box, reach out to them and ask for it. If you don't see your provider listed or you've cut the cord, you can find El Rey on the streaming subscription services Sling (here) and fubo.tv (here). Or you can order the episodes on iTunes here. Seasons one and two are available on Netflix here.
