Dalton Castle reportedly re-signs with Ring of Honor

Despite never having won a title in Ring of Honor (ROH), Dalton Castle remains one of the company’s most popular acts.

The combination of his popularity and frustration he hasn’t been pushed higher up the card resulted in speculation the Party Peacock could sign with WWE when his contract with the Sinclair Broadcasting-owned promotion was up being met with a lot of enthusiasm.

It appears Castle isn’t too frustrated with ROH creative, however. That, or he agrees with fellow Ring of Honor-contracted talent The Young Bucks that signing with WWE isn’t necessarily the best move right now.

Because according to PWInsider, Castle has already agreed to a new deal with ROH and is off the free agent market.

There was always some question how Dalton’s gimmick - a babyface version of the kind of flamboyant characters Vince McMahon’s company has usually promoted as villains, who deliberately addresses sexual orientation stereotypes by employing scantily clad male valets he calls his “boys” at the same time his in-ring work focuses on power moves and the performer’s real amateur wrestling skill - would translate to WWE.

Doesn’t look like we’ll have to worry about that for a while, though.

Now push this man, ROH!
