Wrestlers love a good Twitter joke, jump on President Trump’s ‘covfefe’ hashtag

WWE Hall of Famer, and President of the United States of America, Donald Trump was on what Bully Ray used to call the “Twittah Masheen” early on May 31, 2017 issued his latest 140 character or less message heard round the world.

And as this one seemed to include a made-up word (Trump’s press secretary Sean Spicer would later say that “The president and a small group of people know exactly what he meant”), hilarity ensued.

The inciting post was eventually deleted after remaining up for several hours. But screen shots are forever, so here’s the Commander in Chief remarking on all the “negative press covfefe” he gets...

Pro wrestlers, as you can probably tell by the fact approximately 33% of all stories about them in 2017 include a Tweet or Instagram message, love social media. And when #Covfefe started trending, the boys were ready to play.

It’s a very popular topic... although in internet time, it’s almost past its expiration date. So expect WWE to have some kind of reference to it on Sunday at Extreme Rules after we’ve all moved on.
