Rumor Roundup (May 27, 2017): WWE Women’s tournament plans, UK show, David Otunga return, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Rumors for the Day:

  • According to PW Insider, WWE is planning a heavy female presence for the Mae Young Classic beyond just the wrestlers, including possibly using multiple women on commentary and female referees.
  • WWE may have tabled plans for a full UK show on the Network due to poor ratings for 205 Live.
  • David Otunga is expected to return to WWE soon, possibly next week. He has been away filming a movie.
  • According to Luchablog, Raul Mendoza has been signed to NXT.
  • It looks like FloSlam is now charging an extra $10 per month for new signups.
