Drug charges against Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman reportedly dropped due to lack of evidence

Well, this is relief - certainly for Sean Waltman, but also for friends and fans pulling for the man known as X-Pac in his recovery from active addiction.

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is dropping their drug case against the 44 year old. Waltman was detained and arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on April 29 when Customs officials found cannabis products and what they believed to be methamphetamine in his luggage before a flight to the United Kingdom for an independent booking. He was released on bond and immediately denied he was in possession of meth, claiming the pills the authorities identified as such were an herbal cleanse, and all “intent to sell” charges.

His initial hearing was scheduled for yesterday, May 25, in LA Municipal Court. And that’s apparently where - per Sheet’s report - “the case was declined... due to ‘insufficient evidence’”.

No word on how this impacts the outstanding warrant for a February 2016 drug arrest which was cited in this most recent one, but the lack of charges here should at least clear him from a parole violation in that case.

Waltman was direct in his statements on this matter that he understood if people doubted him, given his history and the nature of addiction, but it does appear he’s been vindicated in this instance... which is great news for Pac, and wrestling fans pulling for him.
