Rumor Roundup (May 19, 2017): Kurt Angle wrestling, Rusev plans, Chris Jericho return, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • If Kurt Angle is to wrestle in WWE, it's likely it won't be until WrestleMania 34.
  • Rusev going after Shane McMahon could very well be to set up a match between the two, possibly for SummerSlam.
  • Chris Jericho is currently booked for two WWE shows in Japan on June 30 and July 1.
  • The Observer notes there are still open lines of communication with Mauro Ranallo and WWE and it's at least a possibility he may return.
  • Cody Rhodes' status for the G-1 is up in the air right now.
