The Undertaker's iconic career ended at WrestleMania 33

Undertaker walked off into the darkness after WrestleMania 33, but you can imagine him rollin' off into the distance if you prefer.

The Undertaker has wowed us for decades, but the main event of WrestleMania 33 seems like it was the end for the Deadman. He fought against it again and again, but between chair shots and a number of spears, Taker wasn't going to rise anymore.

It's a sad moment for wrestling fans, but it doesn't have to be that way. Undertaker had a brilliant career, much of it centered around success at WrestleMania, and what we should take away from this year's ultimate thrill ride/showcase of the immortals/granddaddy of them all/etc. is that Taker managed to be a force in WWE and the industry for decades -- and the reason Sunday's affair hurt so much to watch is because of all we had invested into the character, the man, during those many, many years.

So, goodbye, Taker, and thank you for all you've done in the ring. We'll miss having you around, but you earned your rest a long, long time ago.
