Roman Reigns declares The S3 is his yard now

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - the April 10 episode of Monday Night Raw, Tuesday's SmackDown & 205 Live, NXT & ROH TV from Wednesday, Thursday's Impact Wrestling, and any other internet streaming wrestling that aired from April 9 - 15, 2017.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

The Big Dog started year six with something he couldn’t do all of year five...

  • It was neck-and-neck, but in a battle of a five word promo and an entrance with a lot of Swag(suke) and no words, every word counted.
  • Say yeah!
  • John Cena’s house rule #8... Smarks love not-Cena, even when he clears out for the King of Strong Style.
  • A pair of Raw returns got a lot of love, along with the new tag champs who returned the night before at ‘Mania.
  • It’s not how he started last “year”, but the Phenomenal One still found his way onto another weekly S3.

The S3: 2017 - 18, Week 1

1. Roman Reigns
2. Shinsuke Nakamura
3. (tie) Dash Wilder
3. (tie) Scott Dawson
5. Miz
6. Finn Bálor
7. Emma
8. Jeff Hardy
9. AJ Styles
10. Matt Hardy

Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list - full details on rules and scoring HERE.

Being week one, the year-to-date S3 is identical to what you see above. But as we get farther away from WrestleMania 33, and closer to 34, the Year Six Top Ten will be posted in this space (and, roughly quarterly, a complete Standings featuring everyone who’s earned annual points).

After a crazy few weeks, there weren’t quite as many shows the past few days, but there was still a lot happening on the ones we got. We’ll help where we can - Raw, Smackdown, 205 Live, NXT, Impact, the wide world of “everything else” - then we’ll absolutely count up the votes and report back to you next Sunday!
