Rumor Roundup (Mar. 15, 2017): Kurt Angle, changed Brock Lesnar plans, Lana’s future, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Kurt Angle was in Pittsburgh yesterday, prompting online speculation he might be on SmackDown. That was never the plan, and he left before the show started. He was at the arena filming footage for his upcoming WWE 24 special.
  • Brock Lesnar vs. Shane McMahon was the plan coming out of SummerSlam. That changed when the Goldberg signing became an option, per Wrestling Observer.
  • Lana is expected to focus on wrestling in NXT while Rusev is out of action rehabbing from shoulder surgery.
  • According to PWInsider, who yesterday reported he was in, William Regal is no longer expected to be added to the WWE Hall of Fame class of ‘17.
  • There will be at least one “Legacy” name revealed, likely next Monday.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
