Ring of Honor returns to Japan this weekend with Honor Rising 2017

Yes folks, it's that time of year again. Ring of Honor are rounding a statistically significant portion of the crew up to head to Japan for the two interpromotional shows that New Japan gets to host a year as part of their continuing partnership.

It's a slightly late weekender spilling over into Monday, and it's headlined by the return of the Bullet Club to Japanese shores after a bit of a break while Kenny Omega decided his short-term future.

Biz Cliz are, in large part, resuming their feud with Chaos, but Los Ingobernables de Japon also has a fair presence on the card, featuring in several tag matches including a defense of their NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship on Night One.

War Machine are featured in two special challenge tag matches, against the Young Bucks and then Guerrillas of Destiny, the NEVER title is on the line against ROH up-and-comer Punisher Martinez, and YOSHI-HASHI finally gets the ROH World Championship shot he earned when he pinned Adam Cole at New Years Dash!! back in January.

Last but not least, let's shine a spotlight on the featured tags for Night One there. Cody finally gets to check Shibata off his list, even if only in a tag, and Omega highlights his re-dedication to New Japan partnered with Adam Cole against the heart and soul of ROH, Dem Boys themselves, the Briscoe Brothers.
