The news is still good for Lucha Underground, as its first two seasons will debut on the popular streaming service Netflix this Spring in the United States, Canada and Latin America. This kind of distribution has long been cited as crucial for growing the brand, and even necessary for it to survive going forward.
Dorian Roldán, GM of Lucha Libre FMV, has confirmed that seasons one & two of #LuchaUnderground will be available on Netflix Spring of 2017

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the Feb. 15 launch date that had been mentioned by Court Bauer on MLW Radio earlier this month is realistic, with LuchaBlog reporting the actual launch will be sometime between March and May of 2017.
Still, this is a positive step for the El Rey show. Hopefully a lot of fans will discover it via Netflix, and - depending on when in that window it premieres - could give the rest of us something to binge while we wait for season three to resume on May 31.
