In an effort to bring some positivity to professional wrestling—and the world for that matter—Cageside Seats and its community will say nice things about people and things in wrestling every single day throughout 2017.
A reminder of the rules: only positivity allowed here. No back-handed compliments, and CERTAINLY NO NEGATIVITY. If you don’t have something nice to say, keep it to yourself, or take it elsewhere. Negative comments will be deleted and you may be subjected to a ban. Cool? Cool.
Today’s subject: seeing as we did the original yesterday (and we’re coming up on the anniversary of its series finale), WWE’s version of ECW. Or WWECW, if you prefer.
WWECW in the beginning at least had the spirit of the original ECW. Hell, the original One Night Stand is one of my favorite PPVs ever. I get what they were trying to do.
After that didn’t work, it became a show for people who were a step away from the main roster and people that creative had nothing for, but still want to keep around. I mean, that’s worth something, right? If it wasn’t called ECW, I think people would have been more receptive to it. Maybe.
Your turn. Say something nice about WWECW.
And if you have a suggestion for a future “Let’s Say Nice Things About...”, hit me up on Twitter @notoriouseddie. I promise I won’t bite.
