- He may always be a bridesmaid in these things, but coming up short in the Intercontinental championship open challenge worked out well for The Swiss Cyborg and The Big Dog.
- Good week for bigger non-WWE feds, with the new Ring of Honor (ROH) World champ and Wrestle Kingdom 12’s co-main eventers finishing strong.
- Vince McMahon’s smaller territories made the cut during “Holiday Week”, too, with the Cruiserweight Crusader and NXT’s Neutral Annihilator making the most of a share of the spotlight.
- Then there were the Monday and Tuesday (and for Tribute To The Troops season - Thursday) night staples, like The Samoan Shield-Hunter, The Woken One and... oh yeah, the WWE champion.
