Rumor Roundup (Dec. 22, 2017): Women’s Royal Rumble entrants, Four Horsewomen, Chris Jericho, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • PW Insider has said when WWE originally started talking about a women's Royal Rumble, they were operating with the idea of having 15 entrants. That may not be the case now.
  • Per the Observer, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir aren't training in pro wrestling anymore, so it appears WWE has ditched the idea for a Four Horsewomen vs. Four Horsewomen match.
  • There are some within WWE who still think Chris Jericho is doing WrestleMania 34 and that he'll be back with WWE shortly after he's done with New Japan, per the Observer.
  • There's been a push for Jim Johnston to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year, according to the Observer.
  • The Observer notes Lucha Underground wrestlers are cancelling indie dates from February to March.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
