WWE.com

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Early favorites to win the men’s Royal Rumble, according to betting sites like Paddy Power, include John Cena, Roman Reigns, Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles and Seth Rollins.
  • Despite some internet gossip to the contrary, The Observer says there are no plans for Rey Mysterio to return to WWE and no talks underway which would change that.
  • Vince McMahon’s attitude toward selling WWE changed after the sale of UFC, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, which combined with his creating entities like Alpha Entertainment, has led to speculation he’s more open to potential offers than ever before.
  • Meltzer revealed in a recent Twitter Q & A that WWE announcers no longer introduce matches as “one fall” because Vince hates when fans chant that.
  • Damien Sandow has moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, per PW Insider.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
