Ring of Honor (ROH) is building to a big main event tonight (Dec. 15) at their Final Battle pay-per-view (PPV) in New York City - and that will include awarding a brand new World title belt design to the winner of Cody Rhodes vs. Dalton Castle.
As you can see in the above video with current champ Cody, the angle is that ROH officials have decided to not put Rhodes’ name on the strap. Even though he was given the championship for his press rounds, whoever wins the match tonight will be the first person to officially wear this belt.
This is (I believe - correct me below if I’m wrong) the fourth iteration of the company’s World title in their fifteen year history.
