Black Label Pro are back in Crown Point, Indiana with their trademark blend of up-and-comers and only-on-the-indies wackiness and there's no better example of that than that tag match I've put third from the top. Yes, folks, Black Label are going to answer the age-old question of vampires vs. werewolves, and they're doing it by putting two ex-WWE vets against midwestern indie up-and-coming pups. Good lord!

CMLL are back in Arena Mexico with your Friday night dose of lucha libre action and... it's tournament time again! As always with CMLL I'll admit to not being quite sure exactly what form it's going to take, but that's a pretty sweet lineup all the same. As far as the rest of the crard goes, there's not a huge amount going for it, but the third from the top with Panther and Hechicero should be some good solid fun.

  1. Matthew Justice over Shawn Shultz
  2. Magnum CK over PB Smooth
  3. Dominic Garrini over "All Ego" Ethan Page
  4. No Consequences (AJ Gray, Garrison King, Joshua Bishop, Malcolm Monroe III, & Tre Lamar) over "Supercop" Dick Justice, the Philly-Marino Experience (Marino Tenaglia & Philly Collins), & Weird World (Alex "Worldwide" Kellar & Evan "Weird Body" Adams)

  9. Laredo Kid over DJ Z, Jody Fleisch, and Matt Cross
  10. Nick Gage over Tim Donst (c) to win the AIW Absolute Championship (Fans Bring the Weapons Match)

The King is back, baby... and he's champion! In bloody battle Nick Gage claimed the Absolute Championship from Tim Donst, and AIW may never be the same again. But that wasn't the only blood on the card, unfortunately, as Jody Fleisch's triumphant return to the United States was cut sadly short when he landed poorly on a dive and gashed his leg open, necessitating that he pull out of the rest of the weekend.

Check it out when it hits Smart Mark Video, folks.

NOVA Pro 11th Dimension (November 24)

  1. Mack Buckler (c) over Graham Bell to retain the CRAB Wrestling Championship
  2. Carnies (Beau Crockett, Kerry Awful, Nick Iggy, & Tripp Cassidy) over Sugar Dunklings (Lance Lude, Lucas Calhoun, Rob Killjoy, & Sugar Dunkerton) (Elimination Match)
  3. John Kermon over Wheeler YUTA
  4. Gunner Miller over Cabana Man Dan (Survivor Triathlon Match Round 1)
  5. Spitifires (Ace Perry & Sage Philips) over the 1% (Bobby Shields & Logan Easton LaRoux) (Survivor Triathlon Match Round 2)
  6. Spitfires (Ace Perry, Cabana Man Dan, & Sage Philips) over the 1% (Bobby Shields, Gunner Miller, & Logan Easton LaRoux) (Survivor Triathlon Match Round 3)
  7. Isaiah Frazier over Dirty Money
  8. Jonathan Gresham over Fred Yehi
  9. Allie Kat, Deonna Purrazzo, Laynie Luck, Sahara Se7en, & Veda Scott over Brittany Blake, Faye Jackson, Jordynne Grace, LuFisto, & Mia Yim (Elimination Match)

As always, my man Duke (follow him on Twitter!) has an excellent write-up of the show, so I'll let him take it away without too much more blabbing out of me here. But man, Yehi/Gresham sounds great, and what a starmaking turn for Allie Kat in the main. She deserves it!

Check it out when it hits Smart Mark Video, folks.

AAW Unstoppable 2017 (November 25)

  1. OI4K (Dave & Jake Crist) over Stephen Wolf & Trey Miguel
  2. Brubaker, Connor Braxton, Curt Stallion, & Jake Something over Besties in the World (Davey Vega & Mat Fitchett), Colt Cabana, & PACO

  7. Zema Ion over Penta el Zero M (c) to win the AAW Heritage Championship
  8. Rey Fenix (c) over Jimmy Jacobs to retain the AAW Heavyweight Championship

A mixed night for the Lucha Brothers in Chicago, but a great night for wrestling, it seems! Don’t let that loss for WRSTLING fool you, though, because David Starr insists the shoulder was up, and would he lie to you?

Check it out when it hits Smart Mark Video and Highspots, folks. Wazzup (November 25)

  1. Wheeler YUTA over Dominic Garrini
  2. Logan Easton LaRoux over AJ Gray, Anthony Greene, & Razerhawk
  3. Allie Kat over Laynie Luck
  4. Tom Lawlor over Maxwell Jacob Friedman
  5. Thick Boys (Jay Freddie & John Silver) over Ugly Ducklings (Lance Lude & Rob Killjoy)
  6. Jonathan Gresham (c) over Nick Gage by countout to retain the Independent Wrestling Championship returned to our screens with Wazzup and while it was a bummer to see Jody Fleisch have to bow out due to injury, Nick Gage was an excellent replacement. He and Gresham tore the house down in the main event and took Jon's reign to two-for-two on really clever countout finishes. YUTA/Garrini and Lawlor/MJF also stand out, but really the card as a whole was a lot of fun and at less than two hours goes down easy.

Also be sure to check out This Very Second, Bryce Remsburg's late night show that premiered after the Wazzup card, because it was absurd as hell, with fans cutting promos and an acoustic duo rewriting Weezer and Smashing Pumpkins tunes to be about mayonnaise and hanging out with your grandma ("Despite my own age I enjoy playing old lady games") and Orange Cassidy at his best as a surreal sideman.

Check it out on, folks.

Beyond / WWR Pro Tournament For Tomorrow ♀ (November 26)

  8. Davienne over Karen Q (Tournament For Tomorrow ♀ Semifinal Match)

  10. Deonna Purrazzo over Madison Rayne
  11. Jordynne Grace over Davienne (Tournament For Tomorrow ♀ Finals)

For results in detail, you can check our post here, but Jordynne Grace is your Tournament For Tomorrow ♀ winner, overcoming Davienne's damned numbers game (courtesy of Sammi Lane and Miranda Vionette), countering every bit of underhanded shortcut-taking with resilience and strength to prevail. And, on the Powerbomb Pre-Game (still free on YouTube, which is embedded in that linked post) after a bloody war with Nick Gage, David Starr made it official-- he and Joey Janela will do battle to determine the true ace of Beyond on 12/31... and the fans will bring the weapons!

Check it out on, folks.

Progress Chapter 58: Live Your Best Life (November 26)

  1. Travis Banks (c) over Matt Riddle to retain the Progress World Championship
  2. Jimmy Havoc & Mark Haskins over Connor Mills & Maverick Mayhew

  5. Timothy Thatcher over Strangler Davis
  6. Timothy Thatcher over Chris Ridgeway
  7. Joseph Conners over "Flash" Morgan Webster
  8. Toni Storm (c) over Alex Windsor to retain the Progress Women's Championship
  9. Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) over #CCK (Chris Brookes & Kid Lykos) to win the Progress Tag Team Championship

As always with a show I recap I'll keep it short and sweet here, but... ROB LYNCH IS BACK, BABY! Indeed, that's why Thatcher worked double duty, because Big Rob returned from his injury-inflicted hiatus to cost Davis his match and the Atlas Division Championship match that he put on the line in it. Tim wanted to have a proper match, and so Chris Ridgeway made his Progress debut!

Bad news for poor Kid Lykos, however, as he injured his shoulder and actually had to be stretchered off mid-match. Get well soon, wolf boy!

Check it out when it hits Demand Progress, folks.

As always...
