Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Rumors for the Day:

  • There have been talks about doing a women’s Elimination Chamber match at Raw’s February PPV, per Wrestling Sheet Radio.
  • The company has also discussed revealing Paige as the leader of the NXT call-ups who invaded SmackDown last Tuesday, in addition to fronting the Absolution stable on Raw.
  • Lio Rush has been held off NXT house shows due to heat from his tweet about Emma, according to PWInsider.
  • Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks are considering booking and running a 10,000 seat venue with their own money to prove they can sell out a building that size.
  • The Starrcade event was pitched to Vince McMahon by Michael PS Hayes, says PWInsider. Hayes also wrote Saturday’s show in Greensboro.
