WWE.com

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • According to the Observer, the original idea for John Cena to be guest referee in the previously planned Brock Lesnar vs. Jinder Mahal match was so he could cost Mahal the match and set up a program between the two.
  • Per PW Insider, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are both planned to be at SmackDown Live next week after being sent home from the European tour.
  • The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports the belief isn't that Owens and Zayn went into business for themselves but rather it was a misunderstanding that grew out of control.
  • The Observer notes WWE officials have once again recently talked about the idea of bringing Hulk Hogan back to the company.
  • There's some word going around that Wolfgang suffered an injury during a recent house show.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
