Rumor Roundup (Oct. 6, 2017): Samoa Joe return, Charlotte plans, War Games, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Samoa Joe is expected to return to WWE within the next month or so, likely after TLC.
  • It's looking more and more likely that Charlotte will be winning the SmackDown women's championship at Hell in a Cell.
  • The decision to bring War Games back for NXT TakeOver was made really late, according to Dave Meltzer, who said the original plan called for Drew McIntyre vs. Adam Cole in an NXT title match. That was only changed to accommodate War Games.
  • The Young Bucks are going to stop using "suck it" in merchandise, per the Observer.
  • Dave Meltzer noted recently that there may be some good news on the way for Lucha Underground, as they may have funding for a fourth season.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
