The epic saga of gods versus mortals in an underground fight club known as Lucha Underground continues tonight (Oct. 4) on El Rey Network at 8pm ET/PT.

The four week season-ending extravaganza of Ultima Lucha Tres returns with part two. Here's a reminder of the full card:

  • Career vs Title: Prince Puma vs Johnny Mundo
  • Steel Cage Match: El Dragon Azteca Jr. vs The Monster Matanza Cueto
  • Cage vs Jeremiah Crane vs Mil Muertes (Winner gets the god gauntlet)
  • Mask vs Hair: Fenix vs Marty Martinez
  • Gift of the Gods Ladder Match: Son of Havoc vs Pentagon DARK
  • Last Luchadora Standing: Sexy Star vs Taya
  • Ivelisse vs Catrina
  • Unique Opportunity Battle Royal
  • Killshot defeated Dante Fox in The Hell of War via death fall through a pane of glass
  • Famous B defeated Texano via kiss-distracted roll-up (Texano is now forced to be a client of Famous B)

On the slate tonight will be Ivelisse vs Catrina, the Unique Opportunity Battle Royal, and Fenix vs Marty Martinez. Let's preview and predict these premiere contests.

Ivelisse vs Catrina

These two ladies have never seen eye to eye during the entirety of Lucha Underground as trash talk has been in abundance. Their feud upped a level after a rock clocking to Ivelisse led to Catrina's minions winning Trios gold at Ultima Lucha Uno. Ghosting into the ring to turn the tide as Ivelisse lost to Taya at Ultima Lucha Dos was strike two. The baddest bitch in the building had all she could stand, so she issued a challenge to Catrina during the season three opener for a bout at Ultima Lucha Tres.

One more note. Ivelisse's current boyfriend, Jeremiah Crane, has history with Catrina. Jeremiah still loves Catrina, and she has used that to her benefit in unrelated business. Will the love triangle play a factor in this match?

Ivelisse has been out of action with a broken ankle for most of the season, so there hasn't been much build. However, we are treated to promos from each combatant. Here is Ivelisse's take on the feud.

Now, let’s give Catrina a chance to talk smack.

While this is a battle to be alpha bitch in Ivelisse's mind, it feels like Catrina is playing a game of cat and mouse. I’m going to give Catrina the edge in the promo battle due to her line about taking over Ivelisse’s weak mind and weak body.

Prediction: This one is a stumper. Ivelisse should be much better at fighting, but Catrina has special powers. Ivelisse should have the big pop momentum of an injury return, which generally means victory. However, a loss for Catrina wouldn't flow well with her ghost storyline. Catrina is involved in graver matters and doesn't have much time to trifle with little girls. When in doubt, go with the one who can teleport out of pinning predicaments in the flip of a light switch. Pick: Catrina.

Unique Opportunity Battle Royal

The battle royal was announced last week as Matt Striker and Vampiro ran down the card. "The winner of the match wins the prize, but it comes with a twist." Patented Dario Cueto twists are always tantalizing.

Participants include Paul London, Saltador, Mala Suerte, Argenis, Cortez Castro, Son of Madness, Vinnie Massaro, Mack, Joey Ryan, Ricky Mundo, PJ Black, Mascarita Sagrada, and Pimpinela Escarlata.

There’s a few things I’ll have my eye on. Of course, the return of Pimpinela Escarlata. He’s a burst of fun. I want to see him dance with the Rabbit Tribe.

I’m also interested to see the interactions of Mascarita Sagrada. He’ll be reunited with good friend Pimpi. Son of Madness hates Mascarita for being patched into his motorcycle club. The Rabbit Tribe views Mascarita as their leader. After being saved by Paul London, I’m curious if Mascarita will be more part of the team.

Prediction: When trying to figure out Mack’s involvement in Ultima Lucha Tres, the idea of a multi-luchador match for Mack to stun everyone was tossed into the discussion. The Unique Opportunity Battle Royal seems to fit that bill. I predict 8 stunners by Mack.

Mack seems to be the overwhelming favorite in terms of star power, but I’m not feeling it for him. Perhaps it is his lack of focus lately. This would be a good chance to give someone else the ball for a mini push, so I’m going with Paul London. He has the ability the move up the ladder. Plus, odds are on his side with the Rabbit Tribe trio competing in the contest. Pick: Paul London.

Mask vs Hair: Fenix vs Marty Martinez

Marty Martinez has been creeping on ring announcer Melissa Santos for quite some time, while Fenix and Melissa had been sneaking on the down-low. Marty witnessed their flirtatiousness and viewed Fenix as an obstacle to having Melissa all to himself. Marty’s focus was to remove Fenix’s mask to reveal him as fugly, but I guess the mixed tag match against Melissa Santos changed that.

Listen to Marty’s promo about moving Melissa to the friend zone. He also stabbed an orange with scissors.

Prediction: Before watching that promo, I was going to pick Fenix. I’m still leaning that way, but Marty upped the intensity enough to make me question my choice. His attitude went from fighting for a possession to anger and violence. When it comes down to it, I’m not sure if Marty cares about being victorious. He just wants to inflict pain. Heck, he’ll probably try ripping off Fenix’s mask anyway during the match and maybe after too. Fenix is the one with something to lose. He should have a greater sense of urgency to actually win. Pick: Fenix.
