Rumor Roundup (Oct. 3, 2017): Owens move, Mahal’s reign, Cena role, Enzo turn, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Kevin Owens has been advertised for several Raw brand house shows after Hell in a Cell, leading to talk his match with Shane McMahon could create a storyline reason for him to return to Mondays.
  • The WWE tour of India likely means Jinder Mahal will still be WWE champion in December.
  • WWE will probably keep the belt on Jinder by having him beat Shinsuke Nakamura this weekend, then participating in a multi-person elimination match at Survivor Series.
  • John Cena did not make the final cut for the role of Shazam in the DC Comics movie universe, per PWInsider.
  • Plans for an Enzo Amore/Neville turn came about shortly before No Mercy, according to The Observer. Zo being booed on the last 205 Live before the PPV helped with the decision.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
