Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- According to Dave Meltzer, WWE is planning on adding a special guest referee to the Brock Lesnar vs. Jinder Mahal match at Survivor Series.
- John Cena is the subject of the most speculation to get that ref spot, though WWE apparently has yet to settle on that choice.
- Raw invading SmackDown is in the plans but the travel schedule may have affected the decision to do it this week.
- Although there was mention of the possibility of it on television, no titles are expected to change hands before Survivor Series, so all the announced matches should go forth as currently planned.
- The 10-man cruiserweight match was originally an elimination style match, per PW Insider, but it was changed just before Raw.
