During an extended interview with MMA Fighting, CM Punk, who makes his MMA debut at UFC 203 this Sat., Sept. 10, 2016, in Cleveland, Ohio, talked about what music he will come out to for his fight against Mickey Gall. WWE fans may be happy to know that he’s still considering using the song he’s most remembered for.
When Ariel Helwani asked what song he’s coming out to:
"I thought I knew and now today, listening, when I was working out earlier, I heard a couple on my iPod in rotation and I was like 'oooh.' I don't know. There's a top three. They asked me when I checked in what my song was going to be and I couldn't give them an answer yet. ... I came out to a lot of awesome songs in my pro wrestling career, so it could be any one of them. No, (Cult of Personality) is still on the table."
There were reports that Brock Lesnar would come out to “Here Comes the Pain” when he returned to the UFC in July but he ended up using “Enter Sandman” by Metallica. So don’t expect Punk to use anything from his WWE career because you may be disappointed.
But wouldn’t it be something if he did?
