Lucha El Rey on Twitter

Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of Lucha Underground in its regular Wednesday night at 8PM Eastern time slot on El Rey Network.

Here, we’ll keep you up on of all the happenings in Boyle Heights here while the show airs. Later, you’ll get a regular reactions post. In addition to a way for folks to keep up, this space is for you to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the hottest new concept to hit pro wrestling in ages - during its initial broadcast!

El Rey is available via the cable and satellite providers list on their webpage here. If one of those is your hook-up and you can't find the channel on your box, reach out to them and ask for it. If you don't see your provider listed or you've cut the cord, you can find El Rey on the Sling streaming subscription service here and here. Or you can order the episodes on iTunes here.

NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcast, but many Cagesiders don't partake. If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.

ANOTHER NOTE: Do not post links to pirate streams or other unlicensed means of watching the show. We all wish it was easier to get El Rey, and trust them when they tell us they're working on it. In the meantime, keep it legal while you're hanging at cSs.

Alright, folks, let's Lucha!

Dario Cueto is doing pull-ups in his cell and gets news of his release. HONKY TONK MAN is playing the prison guard. He returns his belongings to him, including one GIANT KEY.

Councilman Delgado is in the limo which pulls up to pick Dario up from prison. A mysterious figure speaks Spanish from the darkened back of the limo. He either has an iron hand or a big claw gauntlet. He actually scares El Jefe when he says, "waste my time again....and your next sentence will be death."

Back in the Temple, Matt Striker and Vampiro are our announcers. Vamp says he's just here to announce, he's no ones master any more.

Cueto is here with his brother, the LU champ Matanza. He announces Rey Mysterio is in tonight's main event against Pentagon Dark. He makes fun of Vampiro for being attacked by his student, and being made to bleed like a pig (complete with oinking taunt).

Dario introduces his DIAL OF DOOM. Everyone on the wheel is eligible for a title shot. The first spin produces our first match...

Son of Havoc vs. Matanza!

The underdog looks great, getting several nearfalls but also taking a beating from the monster. Eventually Havoc gets caught in the air and sent straight into a power slam.

Matanza wins via pinfall to retain the LU championship

Worldwide Underground is in Cueto's office to talk business.Johnny Mundo wants a title show, but Dario says last time he saw him, he was losing the Trios titles. Johnny blames that on Angelico, and tells El Jefe about how they took care of the high-flier (complete with flashback footage of a vicious car-assisted beatdown). Dario likes that story, but still isn't giving Johnny a title shot.

He asks for a match against Gift of the Gods champ Sexy Star, and gets shot down for that, too. Cueto does make a match between Taya and Sexy for later tonight.

In the ring, Ivelisse calls out Catrina. She's pissed about what happened at Ultima Lucha Dos, and wants to face her at Ultima Lucha Tres. The lights go out, and Catrina appears to accept the challenge.

Sexy Star vs. Taya

Striker mentions at the start that the GotG title has never successfully been defended, which is crazy. That streak is broken here when attempted interference by Worldwide Underground backfires and Taya gets rolled-up.

Sexy wins via pinfall to retain the GotG title

Mundo, Jack Evans & PJ Black join in an attack on Sexy, but the Trios champs (Drago, Aero Star & Fenix) run in for the save.

Marty the Moth is in El Jefe's office, and tells him he wants to conquer the Temple. Dario warns him he has to be ready for war in order to conquer, and books him in a match against the man whose dog tags he stole last season. Next week will be a weapons of mass destruction match between Marty & Killshot.

Main event time.

Rey Mysterio vs. Pentagon Dark

Good match, with Pentagon being unable to put away Mysterio. At one point, Dark yells at Vampiro, who looks away uncomfortably. That leads to a 6 - 1 - 9, and the beginning of the end.

Rey Mysterio wins via pinfall

After the match, Pentagon attacks and gets set to take Rey's arm, but El Dragon Azteca, Jr. makes the save.

Final scene is Vampiro approaching Prince Puma in the locker room and offering him "guidance".
