NXT adds Japan date to tour of Australia & New Zealand

It’s going to be a very international end of the year for WWE’s NXT brand.

Just days after announcing their second live special outside the borders of the United States, Triple H Tweeted moments ago that NXT’s December tour of Australia and New Zealand would now include a pit stop in Shinsuke Nakamura, Hideo Itami and Asuka’s home country:

Asuka and Nakamura, the current Women’s and Men’s NXT champions, respectively, worked WWE shows during the company’s trip to Japan earlier this year. Talent from the brand was also featured during the 2015 swing through the country, highlighted by former New Japan star Finn Bálor’s title win over Kevin Owens. But this will be the first official show for Hunter’s rapidly growing pet project.

NXT takes over the Edion Arena on Saturday, Dec. 3 on their way to a week of shows starting on Dec. 5 with two shows in New Zealand, and ends on Dec. 15 after six nights in Australia.
