How much wrestling actually happened at WWE Clash of Champions 2016?

WWE featured 7 total matches on the main card of Clash of Champions last night (Sun., Sept. 25, 2016) from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The main card of this pay-per-view (PPV) lasted 3 hours, 7 minutes, and 16 seconds (3h 07m 16s). Here is a sorted list of the bell-to-bell times for the 7 matches that took place during this event:

  • 25m 07s: Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins
  • 17m 10s: Rusev vs Roman Reigns
  • 16m 36s: Cesaro vs Sheamus
  • 15m 27s: Charlotte vs Sasha vs Bayley
  • 15m 22s: Sami Zayn vs Chris Jericho
  • 10m 31s: TJ Perkins vs Brian Kendrick
  • 6m 44s: New Day vs The Club

These times add up to 1h 46m 57s, which is roughly 57.1% of the show. For comparison’s sake, the overall match time percentage for all WWE PPV’s since the start of 2013 is 53.8%.

In that time, the only other card to include 5 separate matches lasting at least 15m 00s each was WrestleMania 32, but that PPV was nearly 5 hours long.

Are you surprised by any of these results, Cagesiders? Which of these matches received less (or more) time than you hoped for?
