Rumor Roundup (Sept. 24, 2016): Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton, Luke Harper return, Cody Rhodes plans, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • The Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton match at the house show in Chicago tonight isn't expected to go very long and apparently WWE may get around having anyone do a job by booking a non-finish, or never letting the match get started and just having the two brawl for a bit.
  • Luke Harper is likely returning to television on Monday Night Raw next week.
  • Cody and Brandi Rhodes, which is how they'll likely be billed in TNA, will be working a program with Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis after Bound for Glory before Cody moves to Ring of Honor for a run at the end of 2016 and into 2017.
  • Alberto El Patron is likely to debut for AAA on Oct. 2 at the Heroes Immortales show, according to the Observer.
  • Ricochet is expected to stay with New Japan instead of going to WWE anytime soon.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
